On the UT Dallas team, warming up for the Pan-American Intercollegiate Team Championship, will be Grandmaster (GM) Valentin Yotov, GM Cristian Chirila, GM Julio Sadorra, GM Conrad Holt, International Master (IM) Milos Pavlovic, IM Salvijus Bercys, IM Arthur Calugar and FIDE Master (FM) Tyler Hughes and FM Alec Getz. 'The 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Open took place on 23-25th November at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis. The 6-round Swiss event was held in three sections – Open, U1800 and U1400, and is rated with FIDE. The Open section had 58 participants. Grandmasters Georg Meier, Fidel Corrales Jimenez, and Denes Boros, all members of the Webster University – SPICE chess team, shared the first place with 5,0/6 points each.'
