Josef Varosi Open 2013-03 Rd6

Here's my rd 6 game.

I drew with black against promising junior Varga,R in a long hard game. pressed with the bishop pair in a closed position but could not make anything happen. Varga already had 2.5/3 against FIDE 2000+ players so I was careful not to be the next victim.

Position 1
(Not a quiz position)
I tried as hard as I could to break white down but in the end could not. However, there was nothing there to be found as it was easier to get blood out of a stone than to squeeze a win out of this position.

Here is my game from this morning where our team tie the match 6-6. I won a tense game where white was better for the early part of the game, but I had a bit of luck in the end and won.

Here is my embarrassing rd8 effort.

I had the initial slight edge but managed to misplay the position in horrific fashion.

Perenyi Memorial 2013-01 Rd4

Here is my Rd4 game.

This was a tough tactical battle that ended with a nice king hunt with opposite color bishops. White played the whole game without using Ra1.

Budapest Xmas Open 2012 Rd5

Here's my rd5 game. I was winning for a large part of the game and then received a shock on the last move of the game.

Reader's comments
'You should at least say that 63. ... cxb4 ?? is the Blunder. The answer 64.Qf7 would have been more striking...And your comment "wins the trapped bishop" is funny. Why on earth shall someone win this useless bishop?'-Thomas Heyl
