World Seniors Ch 2012-11(In Progress)

Here is an interesting game featuring the battle between knights and bishops played by Doubleday,W(CAN) and veteran Czech GM Jansa,Vl.


Jansa Vlastimil (27.11.1942)

'Czech Grandmaster (1974) who was Czech Champion 1974 and equal first in 1964 and 1984. Jansa was a silver medallist at the 2005 and 2010 World Senior championships. Also he is the national coach of Luxembourg since the middle of 1990’s. He participated in 10 Olympiads between 1964 and 1986 and won a team silver medal in 1982.

Jansa won the international tournaments of Madonna di Campiglio 1973 Amsterdam 1974, Trnava 1982, was equal first at Kraguevac 1984, equal first at Prague Zonal 1985 (X) and equal first with Carsten Hansen at Borgarnes 1985, first at Gausdal, August 1987 and 1988, Luxemburg and Bandeweller 1990, Munster, Hamburg 1992, Cattolica 1993 and Lazne in 1997.
